Week of November 17, 2008

Math -  Trimester test this week on Friday, November 21.  Review all the study guides that I have given you this trimester.  Topics include: Place Value; Factors, Prime and Composite Numbers; Fractions; Multiples, LCM, LCD, Mixed Numbers  

Science - The test on Thursday, November 20th will be on eclipses and the solar system. Study your notes and diagrams. 

 Spelling - The  spelling test on the selection  "The Fear Place" is on Tuesday, November 25.  Study the words on p. 269.  Congratulations to those students with 3 hundreds in a row.  They are excused from the homework and test this week.  

Reading - The test on the selection "The Fear Place" will be on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The vocabulary for the story is on wk bk p. 130.  The skills that will be on the test include predicting outcomes, suffixes ward and ous, homophones.  Review wkbk p. 1131, 133, 134, 135, 139

English - The test on Wed. Nov. 19.  The topics will include, common and proper nouns, singular and plural nouns, possessive nouns, subjects and predicates, punctuation and capitalization.   

GYM - Our gym day is Wednesday.  Remember to wear your gym uniform.

Library/Computer - Library and computer classes is Thursday.

**** Our Mission Collection for the month of October was a huge success!  The proceeds from the Bake Sale, Flea Market, and Daily Collections from both rooms totaled $400.00!  Thank you to all who contributed so generously!
