Welcome to the Library

Library classes will begin on Monday, September 15.  Students visit the library once a week.  Books are checked out each week during the library period and must be returned to the library on the following week either for check-in or renewal.  Students who neglect to bring their library books during their scheduled library period are not permitted to take home a book for that week.  Students who do not return books for three consecutive weeks (barring absence) will receive one demerit.  Students who lose a library book should inform Mrs. Ryan as soon as possible.  All students are responsible to pay the cost of replacing books they have lost.  This money will be refunded if the book is recovered at a later date.

Monday - Rooms K, KA, 2, and 1 

Tuesday - Rooms 3, 3A, 3B, and 1A

Wednesday - Rooms 8, 8A, 2A and 4A

Thursday - Rooms 7, 7A, 5A, 4, and 5

Friday - Rooms 6 and 6A

Reading Olympics Update

We have received the book lists for the 2009 competitions.  Please check the Saint Ephrem School site if you would like to start reading. This link should take you to the list: http://saintephremschool.com/july_08.htm Hard copies of the book lists are available in the library.  This year, the fifth and sixth grade competition will be held on Wednesday, April 15 at Bensalem High School.  The seventh and eighth grade competition will be at Log College Middle School on Tuesday, April 21. 

Lunchtime meetings will begin the second week of November.  The Middle School Team will meet on Tuesdays and the Elementary Teams will meet on Wednesdays.

Eighth Grade Independent Reading

 Your reading journal assignment is due on October 15.  Students should have completed at least seventy more pages in their novel of choice by that date.  Remember to bring your independent novel to class with you each week.
